Welcome to The Petite Soap Studio!
The Christmas season is approaching and I have made many soaps in the spirit of the holidays for gift giving and decorating powder rooms and hallways throughout my own house. I love the colors of Christmas and especially the way mint green and pink can be incorporated into the traditional theme of red and green. A touch here and there of pink and mint revs up the heaviness that can come with too much of the traditional approach. Cream and white also are very important accents and what better way to create that accent than a creamy white or pale mint soap in a beautiful china or glass dish from your vintage collection.
I will have a limited supply for sale if you are interested - visit my Etsy Shop, VintageHalls.etsy.com. They should be up for sale by Monday, November 9th. Here are a few pictures of what will be available. Some styles are also available for ordering in dozens or more. Allow 8 days for a turn around and delivery for the orders.

Candy Corn Decorative Soaps
These soaps smell delicious! I made them especially for gifts for the people who work and live in the Nursing Home my Mom is in. Also, my daughter, Camille gave them out to her customers during the past month. I gave them as gifts to family and friends too. They were well received and I know I could have sold some! I made a ton of them and really enjoyed it!
On to Christmas now and I have some fantastic plans - starting them today! I hope to sell some of these in my online Etsy shop - VintageHalls.etsy.com. Come by for a visit or get in touch with me if you would like to order some for your own.

This is the Facial Soap still in the mold curing until I can cut it tomorrow
Here are some pictures of the soaps in the molds before cutting. I made 6 batches.
1. A really nice Coconut Lime Verbena fragrance from Fragrance Buddy was used to make a sudsy bar in a light green blue color way
2. Scented with Lavender Vanilla from Crafter's Choice (Wholesale Supplies Plus), the second soap is a layered bar beginning with mint green then a white with speckled pink watermelon and white and mocha colored micas swirled on top. I had enough to make a few flower shaped cupcake soaps from this batch.
3. Facial soaps next - a pale pink color - two luxurious batches full of olive oil, coconut oil, lard and palm (for those of you who do not make soap I'm sure the lard part puts you off but it makes fantastic gentle soap! Remember, the lye saponifies and works magic to create the soap)

A few pictures of what I am now passionately creating in my garage studio! Yes, it is keeping me from painting but I will soon get back to it also!

I call this Trianon, after Marie Antoinette's fairytale village. It is scented with Osmanthus, after a flower I haven't seen. Amazing scent!
The soap loaf beside Trianon is a soap made with coffee grounds, Turkish Mocha fragrance oil and a beautiful gold mica top. It smells scrumptious!
